Issues to be noted during maintenance of diesel engine air filters

As is well known, the starter motors of agricultural tractors and agricultural transport vehicles are equipped with air, oil, and diesel filters, commonly known as the "three filters". Indeed, the normal operation of the "three filters" will directly affect the functional condition and service life of the starter motor. The key issue is that many drivers fail to protect the "three filters" according to the prescribed time and rules, resulting in frequent engine failures and premature entry into maintenance and upkeep. 1. The air filter guide grille is not deformed or rusted, tilted at an angle of 30-45 degrees, with low resistance and increased airflow. Excessive airflow causes a decrease in airflow speed and does not require painting to prevent oxidation particles from entering the cylinder.

2. During maintenance, the ventilation network should be cleaned. If the filter is equipped with a vacuum cleaner, the height of dust particles should not exceed 1/3, otherwise they need to be removed in a timely manner; The vacuum cleaner port must be closed, and the rubber seal must not be damaged or discarded at will.

3. The oil filtration status meets the standards. If the oil level is too high, carbon will accumulate in the cylinder. Using a small amount of engine oil can effectively reduce the functionality of the filter and accelerate its wear and tear.

4. If the steel wire mesh (wire) in the filter is replaced without reducing the function of the filter, the diameter of the holes or wires can only be slightly smaller and cannot increase the filling capacity.

5. Finally, pay attention to air leakage in the suction pipe. Oil change and cleaning should be carried out safely in a windless and dust-free place; The fan should perform filtering operations near low humidity and high-pressure air, and the blowing direction should be opposite to the direction of the air entering the filter screen; When installing, it is more reasonable to require the bending direction of adjacent filters to penetrate each other.
